This cutlery set includes 6 laguiole knives and 6 forks. The handles are made of mineral stone of your choice: turquoise, malachite or larimar. They are adorned with the famous bee and the logo Laguiole en Aubrac.
Handcrafted in France in the historical zone of origin, they are made of high quality 12C27MOD stainless steel, specially designed to maintain a high performance blade edge, great hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. The mineral stone used for the handles are also of premium quality.
Due to the unique nature of the materials used for the handles, yours may differ slightly from the one pictured above.
About Mineral Stone:
This handle is composed of a blend of stone powder (85%) and resin, making it a more workable material compared to pure stone, which can easily break when pierced.
Turquoise is a semi-precious gemstone, named after its origin, meaning "stone from Turkey." Its distinct azure blue color is easily recognizable. Turquoise has been used for over 8,000 years, with its earliest known use traced back to the Egyptians.
Malachite is a semi-precious green stone that forms relatively close to the Earth's surface. It was first discovered in Egypt and Israel around 4000 BC.
Larimar is a rare gemstone found in just one location in the world - a one square kilometer (approximately ½ square mile) area in the mountains above Baoruco in the Dominican Republic.
