This fine corkscrew is exquisitely made and ensures a precise opening without damaging the cork. The ergonomical curved form gives leverage to drive the screw further into the cork, and the five-turn spiral groove ensures quick removal.

About Buffalo Bark Horn:
The Buffalo bark horn—almost always completely black—features a heavily ridged inner-side curve. It boasts a more flattened and rectangular profile compared to cow horn. When polished to a high sheen, buffalo horn creates an incredibly hard surface, ranking among the most resilient natural materials available.
For this model, the buffalo bark horn is intentionally preserved in its natural state. The exterior “bark” side is left raw on purpose and is therefore naturally marked, irregular, and often visibly weathered. These surface variations are not defects: they are inherent to the material and part of the horn’s authentic character. This design choice highlights the horn’s organic, rugged beauty and makes each piece unique.
If you prefer a smoother, more uniform finish and do not want the raw “bark” look on the outside, we strongly recommend choosing a different horn (or another model) with a fully polished exterior. In other words: this piece is for those who want the true, unfiltered buffalo horn aesthetic.
Constructed of densely layered fibers, buffalo bark horn offers a robust and enduring surface. Its structure closely mirrors that of cattle horn, but with notably thicker walls and a solid tip, contributing to its overall strength and durability.

Engraving examplesHow to use a Laguiole en Aubrac Sommelier Corkscrew:
Remove the capsule: Use the serrated blade of the sommelier to cut the capsule around the neck of the bottle.
Clear the cork: Locate the center of the cork with the sommelier's corkscrew. Insert the tip into the center of the cork and turn it clockwise to drive the screw in three-quarters of the way.
Extract the cork: Place the lever on the neck of the bottle, hold it with your hand, and gently pull the cork upwards by pulling on the sommelier.
